The offshore wind tower tower is the skeleton structure of the entire wind power generation system. It is connected to wind turbines weighing hundreds of tons and connected to supporting facilities such as pile foundations and jackets. In harsh environments such as corrosion, the manufacturing process and quality of the tower are directly related to the safety and stability of the wind farm after its completion. This project is CSSC Chengxi’s first batch order after successfully breaking through the production of large-diameter offshore wind towers. Each set of wind towers consists of 4 towers. The largest tower bottom section has a diameter of 7.5 meters and a tower length of 7.5 meters. At 17.6 meters, it is the largest diameter of the company’s batch-manufactured tower.
At present, CSSC Chengxi has successfully delivered and shipped 7 sets of wind towers for the CSSC Offshore Dalian Zhuanghe No. 4 Phase II project, realizing the company's "large-diameter offshore wind tower manufacturing field" From 0 to 1, from 1 to many”. It is understood that the first batch of delivered wind towers was successfully connected to the grid on July 1 and generated the first local affordable offshore green electricity. In addition, all remaining wind towers are expected to be delivered in August.
