The only reason for mold is water. If you move the washing machine and laundry tub to the balcony, a lot of open water will be generated on the balcony. If it is a rainy day and the environment is so humid, the walls will not be tiled. If you protect it, it will naturally become moldy over time.
In addition to preventing mold on the wall as mentioned above, tiling can also improve the appearance of the balcony wall. If it is stained with dust or dirt, just wipe it away.

As for the height of the balcony wall tiles, most of them choose to be about 1.5 meters high, and the top is about 3 meters.

Sealing the balcony first or laying ceramic tiles first?
Generally, the balcony is sealed first and then the ceramic tiles are laid.If the balcony has some damage to the wall such as drilling expansion screws or slotting, it can be repaired if the tiles are installed later.
In addition, when the developer is constructing, the plane of the balcony cannot be horizontal, and the enclosed balcony must be horizontal, otherwise it may be difficult to push when pushing and pulling in the future. Therefore, there must be gaps between the window and the balcony, and silicone waterproofing is required.
If you install ceramic tiles later, you can cover the areas with large gaps and the waterproofing will be better.
Under special circumstances, install ceramic tiles first and then seal the balcony.
Some balconies are high on the outside and low on the inside, so it is easy for water to accumulate when it rains (water cannot be drained out, and water may seep in), which is called water backflow.
In this case, it is recommended to lay the tiles first, and repair the situation of high outside and low inside when laying the tiles, so that after the balcony is sealed, there will be no water that cannot be drained out.
